| We operate two helicopters throughout the season. One is for our regular operations in which clients pay for individual seats. The other helicopter is for private charters.

The helicopter can accommodate 4 guests per left plus the guide and pilot. The regular operations helicopter will accommodate up to 6 lifts (groups of 4 guests) each day.

| Our regular season rate is $980 per person and includes 7 flights into the backcountry with our guides as well as breakfast and a gourmet lunch.

Your heli-ski day with us includes 7 lifts into the backcountry with a guide, breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.

| We base our day on a 7 flights which generally equate to 6 or 7 runs. Our guides try to maximize the vertical on each run as much as possible while ensuring the best experience possible.

Powderbird is located between Alta and Snowbird resorts so there are many options for accomodations. As well, we recommend contacting Alta Chalets for renting private chalets.

Its best to book your heliski day towards the beginning of your ski trip. This way, we can reschedule your day in the event we cant fly on your scheduled day. We will contact you the night before and give you a wake-up call at about 7:30am on your heli-ski day. At this time, we will indicate if were flying and if so what time to be at the heliport. Generally, we ask clients to be at the heliport at 8:30am and we depart between 9:30am and 10:00am.

Our customer service is world-class. Powderbird has been operating since 1973. In addition to heli-skiing/boarding, we provide a wonderful breakfast and celebratory lunch in the afternoon that usually includes a type of beef and fish, as well as salads and desserts… and of course our own WPG labeled beer!
