Description: SEABA is a small adventure company based in Haines Alaska that specializes in custom adventure tourism. We pride ourselves on our guide to client ratio and our ability to provide the best possible expirience without having a crowded environment.

Additional Information:
Description: Terrain:
Southeast Alaska Backcounty Adventures was formed and founded by a group of outdoor enthusiasts, that live, work, and play in Haines, Alaska. Proud to be the only all inclusive heli and snowcat skiing destination in Haines, we have been working hard to produce the best skiing product in North America. SEABA staff has the knowledge and expirience to provide the best heliski expirience for all abilities. We have more step in client terrain than any other Alaskan operator, and have a collection of the highest densities of runs in the Coast mountains. This allows us to average 9 runs a day with 4 groups to a helicopter, and we are not farming! SEABA terrain is some of the best in the world. Located 85 miles from the Pacific Coast, several mountain ranges have collided in this area to form a densely packed area full of runs. Because of the density of the range, we enjoy short flight times and numerous aspects and terrain choices through all of our skiing circuits. Our mountains tend to fend off wind and inclement weather that the Pacific Ocean and the Canadian interior try to bomabard us with. The result, deep untracked fresh powder.

Our prospective clients should be able to ski confidently down any run at their home resort. Not needed as our package includes accomodations with full service steak and seafood restaurant and lively apres ski bar!
How guests arrive: The best time to arrive:
All flights from abroad must arrive in Juneau, Alaska or Whitehorse, Yukon Territory if flyiing in from Europe in April. From Juneau a small commuter flight can get you to Haines in 40 minutes, or if scheduled correctly you can also use the Alaska Marine Highway. www.ferryalaska.com Flight times from the East Coast of the U.S. should be able to get you to Juneau in one travel day. Once you arrive in Haines our courteous staff will pick you up from the airport or ferry terminals. Unfortunately, it is hard to arrive when you would ideally like to be there, which is in the morning of the day your package starts. If you are in Juneau or Whitehorse the night before your trip begins you have a better chance of getting to Haines that next day before noon and in the heli before the day is done.
Year-round services: Why Us:
While staying in Haines, Alaska at the Fort Seward Lodge, our lodging partner, you can enjoy a host of activities, guided or self entertained; including fishing for salmon, trout or halibut, river rafting, sea kayaking, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, birding, and wildlife viewing. Our other winter activities include, snowshoeing, nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and bar hopping. Generally our down day activities are skeet shooting, fishing, disc golf, snowmobile rentals, water polo. We simply have guided the most days in Haines area, which gives us more options. We also are the only company in Haines that has snowcats as back up for our limited down days that is exclusive to our customers. If you are skiing with the competition you do not have a seat on the cat, thus, no skiing for you when others are. Also we have a huge selection of 2,000 vert runs that are all timber, so for down days if you are not cat skiing, we still are killing the vert in the heli. That all said, for a little more money we take the worries out of Alaskan Heliski trips, we are the face of Heliskiing in Alaska.
