Description: ”The Ultimate Heli-Ski Experience”. Comprised of professionals who are defectors from the original Valdez helicopter skiing companies, Rendezvous, or the ”Renegades” as we call them, have held over all of the positive perceptions, knowledge and zeal from the original big mountain Alaska riding experience, while carrying those qualities of friendly, unmanipulative business ethics into the future. Accessing much of the best terrain, with the best attitude, you’ll see me at The Rendezvous again!

”Comprised of professionals who are defectors from the original Valdez helicopter skiing companies, Rendezvous, or the ”Renegades” as we call them, have held over all of the positive perceptions, knowledge and zeal from the original big mountain Alaska riding experience, while carrying those qualities of friendly, unmanipulative business ethics into the future. Accessing much of the best terrain, with the best attitude, you’ll see me at The Rendezvous again.” - Kent Kreitler Advanced to extreme. Breathtaking knife blade ridges make for landing zones on peaks with elevations up to 6800 ft. Base elevation is at 1750 ft. Not only are there steep couloirs and chutes, but the terrain also lends itself to long ridgelines and big open bowls.

Location: Closest Major Airport:
Extreme ski, snowboard and snowmobile competitions began here, making the Chugach the ultimate playground for big mountain ski adventure. Located on Mile 45 of the Richardson Highway north of Valdez. Three rivers confluence, making this a perfect location for a Helicopter base. Because the storms come from the ocean and clear to the north, producing consistent blue skies, the locals refer to this area as ”the blue hole”. Anchorage is the jump-off for all heli skiing in alaska. Most Alaska Heli Skiing is then out of Valdez, a short flight.

Ice climbing and backcountry touring are weather-day activities. If you are a semi-private charter there is an extra guide fee for these activities. If you are a Private Charter these activities are inclusive with your private contract. We recommend that if you have your own touring gear, backcountry-trackers, or ice gear bring it. We do have gear available but you may be more comfortable and confident in your own equipment. We have more fly days than all the other operators due to our location. Our heli-ski guides and pilots are a part of the area’s vast history, bringing you more than 20 years combined experience of flying and traveling safely in the Alaska Mountains.
